About the campus

Our Aylesbury campus was relaunched in 2008 with purpose-built, modern workshops and classrooms to provide a contemporary workplace for students. The campus operates commercial businesses such as Harding’s Restaurant, Intuition Hair and Beauty and is home to the recently launched HealthTec Thames Valley - an experiential learning centre for the healthcare sector.

Finding us

By Car: From the ring road, follow signs to Oxford/Thame. We’re located just off the A418 Oxford Road. When turning into the campus, be sure to keep left and follow signs to our rear car park.

Our car park uses ANPR technology and all users require a parking permit (available via the online store). Visitors are required to register their car at reception upon arrival.

By Train: The closest station is Aylesbury (Town). When leaving the station, you’ll see stairs leading up to the Bourg Walk Bridge, on the bridge follow the path left and head down to the bottom of the bridge. Then turn right onto the public footpath along the California Brook for roughly 3-4 minutes.

The campus has specialist workshops for construction, technology and motor vehicle programmes and fully-equipped commercial kitchens for hospitality and catering students.

We have dedicated salons for hairdressing and beauty therapy programmes and specially designed studios for games design and creative media programmes.

Our Life Skills Centre is designed to give young adults with high needs the best possible start in life. We also operate a refectory, restaurant, deli and a very comprehensive student gym..
Clare Rooney - Vice Principal Learning & Quality

Clare began her vocational career as an Aylesbury College student and studied a 2-year Apprenticeship in hairdressing. Clare has worked at the College for 18 years following a successful career within the hairdressing and beauty therapy industries.

Her passion within her quality role is to provide all students across all curriculum areas with a high quality, inspirational teaching and learning experience. Clare has previously worked as an inspector for Ofsted, holds a post 16 teaching degree and a Master’s degree in Leadership and Management.
The Nursery is a purpose-built facility at the Aylesbury Campus. We have three playrooms and large outdoor play area for up to 84 children between the ages of three months and five years. We provide childcare for students and staff at the Aylesbury Campus and offer a limited number of places for the local community.

Run by a team of professionally qualified staff, we work together to provide a happy and secure environment for the children, encouraging them to develop socially, emotionally, physically and intellectually.

HealthTec is a unique health simulation centre based in the Aylesbury Campus of the Buckinghamshire College Group and is a Partnership with NHS Health Education England.

We provide young people and adults with a practical insight into the 350+ careers available within the NHS and the Health & Social care sector, and an opportunity to experience working in Healthcare scenarios alongside healthcare professionals.

The Intuition salon is open to the public, this is a great way for you to get cut price treatments, performed by our Beauty Therapy, Hairdressing and Barbering students, but overseen by qualified tutors.

Our Catering & Hospitality students run the Harding's resturant which is ideally positioned to hold business and private functions. We’ve catered from everything from a romantic meal for two, to weddings, private parties and business meetings.
Our conference sector offers a wide range of facilities to hire: from small meeting rooms and mid-sized training rooms to board rooms and large conference and event facilities.

When hiring out a room we offer: free WiFi, computer and projection equipment in every room, free car parking for delegates, excellent disabled access. All of our classrooms are equipped to a high standard.
