CITB Health Safety & Environment Test
This test is also known as the Touch Screen test or CSCS test.
Our Aylesbury campus regularly runs the test on Wednesday or Friday afternoons. The cost of the test is £38.00 (includes a £15.50 admin fee) which can be paid by credit card, debit card or PayPal when booked on our Online Store.

CITB Site Safety Plus Health and Safety Awareness Course
If you do not have one of the following:
- NVQ Level 2 in construction related skills
- Apprenticeship in construction
- Level 1 Award in Health & Safety
you will need to do this course in addition to completing the CITB CSCS Test in order to qualify for getting your Green Labourer’s card.
This course is available on its own, or as part of package which includes the CITB Health, Safety and Environment Test to be completed on the same day.

Frequently Asked Questions
What are the ID requirements?
CITB have very firm and clear requirements regarding the ID documents that must be presented when you arrive at the college to take the test. A current driving licence or in-date passport is the best form of ID. If you can’t provide either of these then a combination of other documents or a waiver form are alternative options. When you make a booking with us you must confirm which identification you are going to bring. Failure to present the correct identification will mean you will be unable to take the test.

Which test should I take?

Can I take the CITB Health, Safety and Environment test in a different language to English?
Yes, we provide headphones to hear the test questions read to you in a range of European languages. Please indicate which language you would like on your booking form.

I want to cancel / reschedule my booking
You can cancel and request a refund or reschedule provided you contact us at least 48 hours before your scheduled test time.
If you do not contact us at least 48 hours before it will not be possible to provide you with a refund or offer you the option to reschedule at no additional cost.

Where can I get revision materials from?
- CITB have produced and app for SMART phones which contains 100s of questions with answers of the style that they will meet in the computer based test. It costs £5.99 - just put CSCS in the search bar for iOS or Android (Google Play) store.
- You can get hold of a book – from the library or from any bookshop- including WH Smith – titled Health, Safety and Environment test for Operatives and Specialists (2018 edition) which is produced by CITB. The recommended cost is £12.00. The ISBN number is 978-85751-477-3. It contains many 100s of questions organised in section with answers at the back of the book.
Do the courses / tests listed above include a CSCS card or can I purchase one from the college?
The College doesn’t provide or sell cards. You must contact CSCS on 0344 9944777 and they will check your details before allowing you to purchase your card for an additional fee.
Do you take CITB Test Vouchers?
No. CITB test vouchers can only be used at Pearson Professional Centres and not at Buckinghamshire College Group.
