The Nursery is a purpose-built facility at the Aylesbury Campus.
We have four playrooms and large outdoor play area for up to 103 children between the ages of three months and five years. We provide childcare for students and staff at the Aylesbury Campus and offer a limited number of places for the local community.
Run by a team of professionally qualified staff, we work together to provide a happy and secure environment for the children, encouraging them to develop socially, emotionally, physically and intellectually.
The children are grouped by age:
approximately three months – two years
two- three years and three - five years, depending on the individual needs of the child
Before your child attends the Nursery regularly, a period of time will be set aside for 'settling in'.
Government Funding
Children have an entitlement of 570 hours per year which commences the term after a child’s 3rd Birthday. Please contact us for details on how you can use this funding to meet the needs of your child. In some instances, 2 year olds may be granted funding for further information on this please speak to the Nursery Manager or click here to visit the Buckinghamshire County Council website.
Quality
Our Nursery provision is regulated by Ofsted, and was last inspected in February 2018. Their report stated that the provision was overall good which means that the provision is strong.
Location
The Nursery is located in a brand new purpose-built standalone building at the rear of the Aylesbury Campus. This ensures that there is little disturbance from activities from the main building, whilst being in close proximity to parents and carers.
Opening hours
The Nursery is open Monday to Friday, 51 weeks a year. It is closed during the period between Christmas and New Year as well as bank holidays.
The sessions are 8:00am - 1:00pm and 1:00pm - 5:25pm.
For insurance reasons and out of courtesy to Nursery staff, we ask that parents/carers collect your child promptly at the end of the session.
Meals
Parents are asked to provide a packed lunch for their children. For Children who require Formula Milk, this must be ready prepared by the parents. A mid-morning/afternoon snack of fruit and milk is provided for all children.
Please do not give your child anything that may contain nuts or traces of nuts, due to the Health & Safety of children who have an allergy to nuts.
Booking and fees
Sessions can be booked to meet the needs of the families, although we do recommend a minimum of 2 sessions per week to help with the children settling. Fees are payable monthly and in advance.
Fees increase annually, generally in August. Full details are available from the Nursery Manager. No refunds can be made for periods of absence caused by sickness.
Assistance
Student-parents may be eligible for financial assistance.

All parents are requested to provide a bag with their child's name on it, containing:
- A complete change of clothing.
- Ample nappies for the day if appropriate.
- Wellington boots (winter)
- Sunhats (summer)
It is helpful if you name all your child's clothes.
