This introductory course in Health and Social Care and Childcare provides students with an understanding of the essential theoretical knowledge and practical skills required to work in these sectors. This practical course serves as a stepping stone to perusing higher level courses and exciting careers in a variety of care settings. If you are compassionate, caring and enthusiastic about working in either Health and Social care or Childcare then this is the course for you. On successful completion of this course you will achieve an NCFE Level 1 Diploma In Introduction to Health, Social Care and Children's and Young people's Settings.

Entry Requirements
To join this programme you will need 4 GCSEs at Grade 2 (or equivalent) including Maths, English and Science. An enhanced DBS check will be required.

Progression & Career Opportunities
Upon successful completion you may be able to proceed onto a Level 2 Early Years or Health and Social Care programme. The course does not qualify you to work with young children and young people but supports you to the next step in training towards working in the industry.

There is a course contribution fee of £100. You will also require a DBS check to take part in a work placement, the cost for this is approximately £50.
