This new course has been designed, alongside Industry Professionals, to introduce you into a career in Film & Television Production Management.
It will guide you through the key elements of Pre-Production, Production and Post Production. You will split your time between the Buckinghamshire College Group Amersham Campus TV/Film Studio, and Creative Media Skills state of the art studio base in the heart of British Film, Pinewood Studios.
During the course, you will meet and learn from some of the most recognised working professionals across many areas, including Unit Managers, Line Producers, First Assistant Directors, Producers, Production Managers, Location Managers and more!

What will I learn?
You will learn a diverse range of skills in Film & Television Production and Production Management. The course aims to develop students with strong organisational skills who are good at planning and problem solving. To consider this as a career, you should be a people person, with good communication skills and a can do attitude.
We will help you to develop strong financial planning, budgeting and logistical abilities, all of which are key to this role. The programme specifically allows students to demonstrate: Initiative, Independent inquiry, Team-working, Self-management, Effective participation, Creative thinking, Reflective learning, Problem solving, Communication, Numeracy.

How will I be assessed?
Across the programme you will have continuous assessment with particular focus on practical work required for the projects. In the UAL grading structure your final grade, Pass. Merit or Distinction is based on the final major project.

Entry Requirements
Applicants need to 18 and over. Students should have attained GCSE English and or Maths but applications from candidates with good levels of literacy and numeracy will be considered for mature candidates. A professional interview will be required

Progression & Career Opportunities
Typically this role is required by TV and Film Production companies, Advertising Agencies, Music video production, Live events and more. Usually individuals are employed on a freelance base. Your first step on the ladder could be as a Production Coordinator, Runner, or Production Office Assistant.

Additional Information
This course is run in conjunction with our partners CMS Institute at Pinewood Studios, the course will be split between Pinewood and Amersham College
If you are under 19 on the date of enrolment this course is funded. There is an additional Material Fee of £350 which can be paid through the Online Store
If you are over 19 on the date of enrolment the course Fee is £6000. You will be able to apply for an Advanced Learner Loan through the government's Student Finance website for £5420 and the remaining £580 can be paid in four instalments through the Online Store. This cost includes the Material Fee.
