Welcome to the exciting world of Hair and Beauty! This course is designed to provide you with a solid foundation and insight into the Hair and Beauty Industry. This course allows you to develop your Maths and English skills for progression on to a Hair apprenticeship or Beauty Qualification.

What will I learn?
You will study both the Hair and Beauty aspects of the sector.This includes the basic theory of a variety of treatments, and gain hands-on experience with practical skills; and perform treatments on real clients.
You can expect this course to cover elements such as health and safety, reception duties, basic make-up, face painting, photographic make-up, shampoo and conditioning, hair plating and the art of dressing hair.
Maths and English will be embedded in all sessions to support you with progression into Level 2 Beauty or a Hair Apprenticeship.

How will I be assessed?
Your course is a combination of Theory and practical. You will need to complete assignments, exam and practical observations. You will also need to gain feedback from an employer for portfolio evidence. This will be part of your work experience

Entry Requirements
To join this programme you will need 4 GCSEs at Grade 2 (or equivalent) including Maths and English.
