Splitting your time between the Buckinghamshire College Group Amersham Campus and Creative Media Skills state of the art studio base in the heart of British Film, Pinewood Studios, you will meet and learn from some of the most recognised and actively working professionals across many areas, including: Makeup and Hair designers, mould makers, sculptors, costume designers, breakdown artists, costume cutters and more!

What will I learn?
You will develop a diverse portfolio of skill in Makeup, Hair, Prosthetic Makeup and Costume and will be presented with opportunities to develop and utilise broad, transferable skills through an ethos of personal and professional development. How will I be assessed?
The course consists of 3 units and is 100% coursework which is assessed by tutors at regular intervals.
Units 1 and 2 are internally assessed and internally verified against the learning outcomes for those units.
Unit 3 is internally assessed, internally verified and externally moderated against the learning outcomes for that unit.

Entry Requirements
Applicants need to be 18 or over. It is desirable for students to have attained GCSEs English and maths and achieved a Level 3 in a related discipline. Applications from candidates with good levels of literacy and numeracy will be considered for mature candidates and a flare for the subject area.
A professional interview and a workshop will be required.

This course is in conjunction with our partners CMS at Pinewood, the course is 2/3 taught at Pinewood in a professional environment and 1/3 at Amersham using the expertise of our experienced teaching team.
If you are under 19 on the date of enrolment this course is funded. However, if you are over 19 on the date of enrolment the course Fee is £5420 and you will be able to apply for an Advanced Learner Loan through the government's Student Finance website.
There is also a Studio Fee of £580 which can be paid in four instalments through the Online Store.
