What will I learn?
The course covers a wide range of materials, process and skills such as; drawing techniques, mixed media, printmaking, 3D model making, stop motion animation, and photography.
Students will learn to develop their creative thinking and idea development to produce a range of 2D and 3D outcomes through the year. Along with Art skills students will also develop skill needed for industry, such as; time management, working in teams and exhibition techniques.

How will I be assessed?
Student will be assessed on practical projects. Each project consist of a final outcome with supporting sketchbooks demonstrating, research, experimentation and idea development.

Entry Requirements
To join this programme you will need 4 GCSEs at Grade 2 (or equivalent) including Maths and English.

Progression & Career Opportunities
Progression can lead onto a Level 2 Diploma in Art and Design OR Level 2 Creative Digital Media Production This course is designed to allow you to enter junior positions in the Creative Industry with a skillset that will enable you to work effectively and creatively.

Additional Information
During the course you will have the opportunity to take part in research trips to museums or exhibitions. You will also get the chance to exhibit your work throughout the year.
There is a course materials fee of £35 and trips are charged at an additional cost depending on location and travel arrangements.
