Some of our students from Foundation Learning Entry Level 3 took part in a session that gave them an introduction into further understanding UK Parliament.
Within the 1 hour session, students learnt about the work and the role of The House of Commons and The House of Lords. They learnt the difference between UK Parliament and Government, the work of MPs and members of the House of Lords; and finally how laws are made and how they can make sure their voices heard.
Throughout the session, the students interacted with the hosts answering questions, making suggestions and took part in a quiz.
We would like to thank Sam Tompkins, Education and Engagement Office from the UK Parliament Education and Engagement Team and his colleague Diane for delivering the lesson.
