As part of their Hairdressing Programme, our Level 3 Hairdressers recently completed their Creative Hair Design Unit.
The Creative Hair Design Unit’s aim was about them developing their creative hairdressing skills in a way that enhances their professional profile. At the beginning of the academic year, each student was given a film-based theme, working towards a creative Avant-garde look using their own imagination, vision and creative skills.
Individually, each student was required to plan and research their chosen film and develop a storyboard detailing their look. Films chosen included favourites like Grease, Star Wars, Avatar, Narnia, Encanto, Charlotte’s Web and many more. The students then had to find an appropriate model, practice their design plan, work collaboratively with our beauty students for make-up and finally, present their final look to judges.
