Our staff football team formed in the 2016/17 academic year and has progressed from playing a 5-a-side in our sports hall, to playing an actual 11-a-side match against a local football club.
On Friday 22nd February, the Bucks College Group staff football team played against Haddenham Veterans in a friendly match – their first ever 11-a-side football match, which took place at the Mandeville School’s 3G Football Pitch. Tensions built between the teams as they became tied with a score of 2 – 2 (with goals from Brandon Thomas – MIS Apprentice and Taofeek Oyeyemi - Sports Development Officer), until the winning goal was scored by Haddenham Veterans in the last couple of minutes of the game.
Our staff football team is a great way for colleagues from different departments to work together and strengthen our team here at Bucks College Group. We are proud to be collaborating across all areas to engage in representing the college in a friendly competition within the community, building our team spirit and morale.
The staff football team look forward to competing in many more matches in the future and continue to work hard in their practice matches in the Aylesbury Campus sports hall.
