This course is for candidates wanting to develop some of the key skills and understanding in Motor Vehicle systems. Successful candidates will have the basic skills needed to apply for an automotive Apprenticeship or level 2 qualification.

What will I learn?
This engaging and motivating Vocationally Related Qualification (VRQ) is generally aimed at learners 16-19 years old, who have a keen interest to learn about maintenance of Light Vehicles and the different roles that are available in the retail motor industry.

To join this programme you will need both Maths and English at grade 3.

Progression & Career Opportunities
This course will support the student's progression to a Level 2 Diploma and also supplement their progress to GCSEs and other appropriate destinations, such as apprenticeships and employment.
This Light Vehicle route allows learners to have the flexibility to develop their knowledge and skills across a variety of specialist areas to prepare them for further studies and potentially enter into a job role within the automotive industry if they desire in the future.
