The course is intended for those that want to gain practical skills and knowledge in order to gain entry into the electrical industry as an electrician. It is also suitable for those wanting to update their knowledge and skills for progression within the industry.

What will I learn?
This part time course takes place two evenings a week, for one year. The course contains units that allow the student to understand Health & Safety, the principles of electrical science, installation technology, as well as wiring systems and communicating with others on site.

How will I be assessed?
Practical and written assessments throughout the course, with end of unit exams.

Entry Requirements
To join this course, you will need GCSEs at grade 4 (C) or above in English, Maths and Science.
You should be able to demonstrate an interest in the subject. Entry could also be subject to an interview, basic skills screening and initial assessment.

Level 3 Diploma in Electrical installations (Part time evenings).

Additional Information
You will be required to supply your own boots and overalls. This course will run 6 hours over two evenings per week.
