Last week, some of our Catering Student were joined by two members of the Royal Navy.
The team were invited in to show the students the importance of catering while at sea. Chefs in the Royal Navy have a lot more responsbility than others . Daily tasks can include serving a hearty breakfast to all on board, to helping in a fire drill or first aid, to cooking for royalty. The Royal Navy comes with a wide variety of opportunities, perfect for those looking to either begin their career or progress.
The morning began with a Cook Off. The students were placed into teams and tasked with making a Lasagne and Chocolate Brownies, MasterChef style. They all had a 1 hour 30 minutes to complete the task while following the instructions given to them.
