This T Level celebration week, we are excited to introduce, Arthur. Arthur began his time with Buckinghamshire College Group completing his GCSE Biology and Pyschology. He has recently progressed onto the T Level in Supporting Healthcare, with plans to leave College and become a Paramedic.
Why did you choose to take a T Level?
I decided that I wanted to choose a T Level because I was more interested in the medical side of health. I began my time at College studying GCSE Biology and Psychology. When I completed those, I originally planned to progress to Level 3 in Health and Social Care but understood that the Level 3 had more of a focus on Social Care, rather than Health. So decided to switch to the T Level in Health as it seemed like a better fit for me.
What advice did you receive to help you make your decision?
I spoke with multiple tutors, they knew that my career goals were to be a Paramedic. They made me aware that the Health T Level was the best option, especially as I wanted to learn more about Healthcare.
What are you most looking forward to?
I am really looking forward to doing my placement. I can’t wait to be in a hospital setting and do the things that will hopefully prepare me for my future employment!
What would you say to someone already at college thinking of progressing onto a T Level?
It’s great! If you’re thinking of going into healthcare, you gain so much experience and knowledge. Take it from me, I’m only a couple of weeks in and I’m so happy I made the switch.
