Four teams made up of our art students competed against one another to design a mural for the staff training room at the site. The design needed to be inspiring, positive and represent innovation within the construction industry.
After receiving their brief; using their creativity, the students spent three weeks developing a design that would fill the available wall. After a lot of consideration, the judges at EKFB made their decision.
General Foreman, Ian Fergurson said
The involvement of the Level 3 Extended Diploma Art & Design Students in this project was a key part of their curriculum for the year, allowing the students to showcase their artistic talents and put into practice what they had learned.
Working on such a high-profile project provided invaluable experience, pushing the students creatively and challenging them to think beyond their studies. It also allowed them to develop essential skills in collaboration, teamwork, communication, and constructive feedback that are valued across all industries.
The impressive mural created by the art students will serve as a source of inspiration for all staff who utilise the training room, while also helping to instil EKFB's core values throughout the organisation. The A41 team is genuinely thrilled about their participation in this project and the enthusiasm surrounding these magnificent designs has been infectious among everyone who has seen them.
We would like to thank everyone at EKFB and congratulate the students that got the opportunity to work with such a wonderful organisation.
