Buckinghamshire College Group was delighted to take part in this year’s Bucks Skills Show, the county’s largest interactive careers event, bringing together students, educators, and employers from across the region.
Held last week at Stoke Mandeville Stadium, the event welcomed thousands of young people who were eager to explore a wide range of career paths, meet industry professionals, and discover the skills they needs for their future careers.
As proud sponsors of the events, Buckinghamshire College Group showcased the diverse courses and training opportunities we offer across our campuses in Aylesbury, Amersham and Wycombe. Our team was on hand to speak with students about the practical skills, qualifications, and industry experiences they can gain while studying with us – whether they are interested in areas like creative media, civil engineering, health and social care, business, or art & design.
Across our multiple stands, we brought a hands-on experience to the event with interactive activities designed to give students a real taste of college life. Visitors experienced live media demos from our student ambassadors using a professional Steadicam, tried out our VR headsets, and admired a stunning showcase of graphic design work created by our talented learners. Our hair & beauty students were also on hand, adding some sparkle to the day by applying face glitter to visitors. It was fantastic to chat with so many students from local schools and colleges, answering their questions and helping them explore exciting possibilities for their futures.
We would like to thank the organisers from Bucks Skills Hub for hosting such a valuable and inspiring event, and we encourage other local businesses and organisations to get involved next year to help showcase the wealth of opportunities available across the region.
