Future Civil Engineers had the chance to experience life at Buckinghamshire College Group during an exciting taster day on Friday. The event welcomed applicants for our brand-new Civil Engineering T Level, giving them a glimpse into the hands-on learning and industry connections that make our course unique.

The day was packed with engaging activities, including a team-building challenge where students constructed structures from paper, testing their problem-solving and collaboration skills. They also explored the tools and technology used in the civil engineering industry, gaining valuable insights into their future careers.

A key highlight of the day was the involvement of our Cornerstone Employers, Atkins Réalis and Balfour Beatty. As key partners in delivering the Civil Engineering T Level, they led a range of interactive activities, demonstrating real-world engineering applications. Their support helps shape our curriculum to ensure it remains industry-relevant while also providing students with incredible enrichment activities such as site visits and work experience.

The event was also a great opportunity for applicants to meet their potential classmates ahead of September, helping them feel more confidents and excited about their next steps. Thank you to everyone who helped make the day such a success – we can't wait to welcome out future Civil Engineers later in the year!
