Buckinghamshire College Group BA (Hons) Musical Theatre students present their performance of Pippin at the Network Theatre Waterloo, London on Thursday 30th and Friday 31st May at 7.30pm.
Pippin is a 1972 Broadway musical with music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz and a book by Roger O. Hirson. Bob Fosse, who directed the original Broadway production, also contributed to the libretto. The musical uses the premise of a mysterious performance troupe, led by a Leading Player, to tell the story of Pippin, a young prince on his search for meaning and significance.
The show features performances from nine students, is directed by BA tutor Cathy Rosario and choreographed by fellow BA Musical Theatre tutor Jo Roots.
