Peter Jones Enterprise Academy students were recently visited by local Forestry Commission worker Katie Stapleton. Katie came into college to talk to students about her work at Wendover Woods and of the opportunities for business students.
UAL Level 3 Extended Diploma Musical Theatre students put on a Cabaret evening at the Waterside Theatre, Aylesbury last night. This was the first event of its kind from Buckinghamshire College Group and a fantastic opportunity for students to show off their singing skills on the two year full-time course to a packed audience.
Following a similar pattern to previous years, already this term, second year Level 3 Acting students have had offers and recalls to top drama schools and universities.

Construction giant Taylor Wimpey has joined forces with Bucks College Group’s Aylesbury Campus to run a unique Student of the Year competition for full-time Bricklaying and Carpentry students. Individuals will be assessed by tutors throughout the year and the most deserving will receive the donated prize of a custom toolkit and the offer of an interview with Taylor Wimpey. If successful, this will lead to real work with an apprenticeship opportunity.
Plumbing lecturer Jamie Cousins was recognised as a Master Plumber at a special awards ceremony at Carpenter’s Hall, in London last week in acknowledgment of his outstanding expertise in his field.
