Bucks College Group has been proudly supporting ‘Love Our Colleges’ week, a national campaign aiming to raise awareness about the both the wonderful work colleges do and the challenges they face. The Love Our Colleges campaign is a partnership, calling on government to invest in our people by investing in our colleges.
Colleges transform millions of lives each year, shape communities, and boost our economy. Yet they are the only part of the education system that has been subject to a decade of cut after cut.
Young people get an average of 10 hours less contact time than their counterparts around the world, and teachers in colleges are paid 20% less than in schools, with many support staff have seeing little or no pay increase for several years
You may have seen on our social media that at each campus we set up trees for our students to add a message about why they love college. A huge thank you to all who participated, here are a few of our favourites!
