The Thames Valley Inclusive College League is a new football league for players with disabilities currently enrolled in Further Education (FE) or Higher Education (HE) institutions. The League provides a fun but competitive experience for disabled players to continue playing football throughout their studies.
The 2019/20 season will see 5 league events take place, and is designed to be a fun and enjoyable experience for players. Social interaction between students is as big a part of the league as the games themselves.
Students from Foundation Learning at Amersham and Wycombe campuses attended the sports event at Tilsley Park, Abingdon, to participate in the 5v5 matches against students from Newbury College, MK College and Banbury & Bicester College.
Hazel Friel, Curriculum Manager for Foundation Learning said “The students participated well and will now be preparing for the next matches which are scheduled for February 2020. Thank you to all the staff involved in co-ordinating and supporting the students at this event, they really appreciated the opportunity.”
