As its National Apprenticeship Week, we’ve been catching up with some of our current apprentices and finding out about their experiences of learning on the job!
Nicola is a current Business Administration apprentice, working as an Administration Assistant for a local company in the Events industry.
Why did you choose an apprenticeship?
Uni wasn’t for me, I wanted real work experience and wasn’t sure exactly what I wanted to do, so thought apprenticeship would be more suitable for me! I found the job advert and saw it was a really varied role, a mixture of different skills all relating to business which was interesting to me!
What do you enjoy most about your apprenticeship?
As I work for a very small company, there’s only five employees, it means I get to learn about a lot of different areas of the business. I feel that I’m also gaining not just work, but life experience, and it’s helping me decide what I want to do next.
At the moment I’m thinking about maybe doing the next level apprenticeship!
