Six Science students from our Aylesbury and Wycombe campuses are currently working in Pharmacies and are continuing their placement to support with the coronavirus outbreak. The students have been getting extra training and more responsibility so they can assist more with the high demands.
Beth O’Connell, Industry Placement Officer, said “Our students are being so mature and continuing to help within the communities to provide a service for all of us in the current situation. It's a really hard time for the country and to see such committed students is really amazing.”
Level 3 Science student, Molly, said “I am still working at the pharmacy and they are training me to be a dispenser. Things are busy due to COVID-19 but I am managing well with all the training I have received and I am very happy to be able to help at a time like this. We have all the protective wear required and are following the government guidelines within the pharmacy.”
Another Level 3 Science student, Mary, said “These past few weeks, I've been doing extra hours due to the Pharmacy being very busy because of the situation we are in right now. I feel very proud to have helped in such a difficult time.”
A huge well done to all of the students participating.
