Buckinghamshire College Group and HealthTec were proud to be a part of the pilot Healthcare Assistant Programme (HCA) alongside Buckinghamshire Healthcare trust and the DWP.
This unique programme welcomed candidates who had unfortunately lost their previous employment due to the COVID-19 pandemic. They undertook a 6 week programme which saw them work alongside healthcare professionals on ward within BHT hospitals and completed a Level 1 qualification delivered by the HealthTec centre within Bucks College Group at our Aylesbury campus.
All of the candidates finished off their course with a socially distanced graduation to reward their efforts and hard work during these times and we were overly proud that all candidates on the course were offered full time employment by BHT and will begin their exciting new careers in 2021. We would like to wish them the best of luck in their next step this year with this amazing opportunity.
