This April, Buckinghamshire College Group worked with Department for Work and Pensions to host a Job Fair in Aylesbury.
On Tuesday 12th April, we welcomed over 100 job seekers to our Aylesbury Campus to meet and speak with a variety of local employers and find out more about the opportunities available. Some of the employers that attended included Le Manoir Aux Quat’Saisons, Danny Sullivan Group, Miller and Carter, Ocado Group, HMP Aylesbury and many more.
Lucy Milton, Head of Business Development and Sales spoke about the event. ‘This was the first Jobs Fair the College has held; we had 18 employers attend on the day with 109 students and job seekers attending the event’.
‘The event was an opportunity to showcase the College to employers, partners – Department of Work and Pensions and Bucks Council, and the public to highlight our Courses, Apprenticeships and Industry Placements’.
‘On the day, our teams from Apprenticeships, WorkZone and Business Support were able to network with employers and the public resulting in sign-ups for Courses, Apprenticeships and further engagement with employers for any future events. It was also a great opportunity for the College to recruit for vacancies with 12 applications received. Looking forward, this event would be worth repeating later in the year and will include all final year students as part of their CPC’.
We would like to thank all the employers, students and job seekers that attended the event, we look forward to hosting many more in the future.
