Once again, our Catering students and staff are helping feed the homeless on Christmas Day.
Back in 2019, staff and students prepared and cooked for 220 homeless people and families in crisis. On Christmas Day 2020 and 2021, the hot meal was replaced with festive food parcels also prepared by staff and students.
This year, the team will return to provide hot meals to those who need it the most on Christmas Day. Due to the cost of living crisis, the team are expecting to see at least 300 people at the Christmas Day event hosted by St Mary’s Church, Aylesbury with all food kindly donated by local businesses.
Preparation is in full swing at the College with Christmas puddings made, and vegetables being prepared. The staff at St Mary’s Church will be joined by Faculty Director, Nicola Ellis on Christmas Day along with a number of Catering students volunteering their time too.
