Music Technology student Joe Pearce was selected to play the guitar solo from Bohemian Rhapsody with The Central Band of the Royal Air Force on Friday 16th June at Missenden Abbey.
Joe was given the opportunity represent Buckinghamshire College Group and showcase his incredible talent to crowd gathered for ‘The RAF Concert & Sunset Ceremony’ taking place at Missenden Abbey, Great Missenden.
Buckinghamshire College Group governor and producer of the event, Tim Marshall OBE was instrumental in organising this for Joe. He said “There’s a real wealth of creative talent in our colleges and universities, nowhere more so than at Amersham with Joe Pearce, a music technology student who’s picked up his guitar to join with the RAF Central Band to play the Bohemian Rhapsody riff in their Queen medley at Friday’s Concert. When Joe broke into the riff people in the VIP area stood up and applauded. It certainly made the desired impact!”
Joe has been accepted for one of only three apprenticeships at the Royal Opera House and we can't wait to see him continue with his success. Congratulations Joe!
