Josh, 18, has been selected to exhibit their work at Origins Creatives, taking place at the Truman Brewery in July. Josh’s submission, titled 1:25 scale model of the Disco Inferno set – design and realisation explores the set design process of a Level 3 Dance and Musical Theatre production, Disco Inferno, which took place in May, where Josh undertook the set designer and head of construction roles, and caught the attention of UAL Awarding Body’s curator amongst 400 submissions.

Josh has just finished his second year on the Level 3 Backstage Theatre course at Buckinghamshire College Group, and as part of the course has led production teams, learnt industry skills in lighting, sound and stage management, and technically supported events such as plays, showcases, musicals, industry panel events, music gigs and live streams. Josh is continuing on to the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama to study Performance Design, after being awarded a scholarship for the high quality of his portfolio and successful interview. Josh was also a recipient of the Outstanding Teamwork award at the Student Awards 2023.
