Graphic Design (Year 2) students based at our Amersham Campus have produced creative designs for the Epilepsy Society in both 2D and 4D. These outcomes demonstrate students’ mastery within graphic design. From originating artwork to producing the final creative outcome using the Adobe Creative Suite packages on the iMacs.
In order to create their final ideas, students had to consider the colour, layout, spacing, imagery, typography and hierarchy of information. Students also experimented with different mediums and materials to create two designs that highlighted Epilepsy. This was particularly testing as all designs had to be original. Students pitched their ideas to the Senior Digital Marketing Officer from the Epilepsy Society and applied the constructive feedback given into their artworks.
The Epilepsy Society commented "When our Senior Digital Marketing Officer Natasha Ward visited Buckinghamshire College Group to judge their graphic design classes special projects, she said, "It was great to come to the college yesterday to see how the students interpreted the brand guidelines. Seeing our brand through this fresh lens was insightful and has provided real inspiration for our designs and prints moving forward. The students’ presentations were incredibly professional, and I could converse with them about ideas as I would my own colleagues." For their projects the students were tasked with using our distinctive digital brand guidelines to create messaging. We would like to say a big thank you to all of the students involved in this project for their hard work. You absolutely smashed it!"
