Four talented students from Buckinghamshire College Group have been chosen to showcase their work at Origins Creatives 2024 in London this July.

Tom Laize, a student of Graphic Design & Illustration, along with Creative Media Production students Alex Hogarth, Fin Jordan, and Korben Wilkinson, were selected by UAL Awarding Body’s curator, Charlie Levine, from over 500 submissions.

Laize’s piece, A Big Misunderstanding, explores the principles of animation, featuring techniques from Disney’s early years. Hogarth, Jordan, and Wilkinson’s short film, Somnium, delves into the concept of lucid dreams in a cinematic style.

Their creativity and commitment have truly shone through in their project. I eagerly anticipate the remarkable work they will produce in the future.”

Mrs Wilkinson said her son “was so surprised and happy” upon hearing the news.

She also extended her gratitude to the college staff for their “help, encouragement and guidance.”
