Our T Level Media students have hit the ground running this academic year, working on exciting live briefs and developing their skills using industry-standard equipment. This hands-on approach allows students to immerse themselves in real-world scenarios, building the practical and technical abilities they’ll need to succeed in their future careers.
From film production to content creation, students are already engaged in projects that challenge their creativity and critical thinking. Under the guidance of expert tutors with extensive industry experience, the students are mastering professional software, cameras, lighting and audio equipment – the very tools used by media professionals today.
The T Level qualification is designed to prepare students for the realities of the workplace. By working on live briefs provided by external partners, our Media students are not only applying the theories they've learned in the classroom but also gaining valuable insight into the expectations of employers in the media industry.
As part of the live brief process, students had the opportunity to interact directly with the client, learning vital business etiquette and communication skills. These interactions helped them understand how to effectively present ideas, manage client feedback, and work to professional deadlines. Learning to navigate these client relationships has been invaluable in helping students develop their confidence and professional demeanour – essential skills for succeeding in the media industry.
With a range of projects in the pipeline, our T Level Media students are set to showcase their talents both within the college and beyond. The experience gained will not only enhance their portfolios but also equip them with the confidence to enter the media industry as skilled, work-ready professionals. We are proud of the hard work and dedication shown but our students as they continue to push boundaries and bring their creative ideas to life.
