Buckinghamshire College Group has run animal care and management courses in conjunction with Tiggywinkles, the Wildlife hospital in Hadenham, for a number of years. Now the hospital has a new vice president in Comedian and animal loving star Russell Brand.
Russell had previously been involved with the charity when he took an injured animal there, but visited again this month to officially take on the new role, meet the students and staff and to see the great work that they do on site.
Tiggywinkles treats over 10,000 wild animal casualties every year. College students get to learn about cleaning, feeding and handling techniques for all types of creatures, from baby birds to swans, hedgehogs to deer and even a few reptiles!
