Past student, Linda Thomson, who studied Foundation Art and Design at our Amersham campus has recently got in touch to tell us about her experience at the College, and what she did next!
Current student, Aqdes Hussain, has spoken to Caroline Craft, our Careers Adviser about what he's been doing during lockdown. Aqdes, 18, from Chesham is currently studying BTEC Level 2 Diploma in ICT at Aylesbury Campus.
During lockdown, students from the Level 3 Extended Diploma in Dance, based at the Amersham campus, have filmed and put together a video of what would have been their ‘finale number’ for their final College theatre show.
During these uncertain times when we are experiencing ‘lockdown’ and isolation, Balance of the Mind in Aylesbury continues to support their clients, ably assisted by students from the Buckinghamshire College Group.
Buckinghamshire College Group has received a high confidence level from the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education following a recent review. In a report sent to the Office for Students the QAA found that the College met all areas of the monitoring review, which took place in January this year.
Students from our HNC Make up, Hair and Costume, and Props, Set Dressing and Directing courses that are taught between Amersham and Pinewood Studios recently went on a trip to Berlin to gather primary research for a film they will be shooting called “Sunrise in Berlin”.
Six Science students from our Aylesbury and Wycombe campuses are currently working in Pharmacies and are continuing their placement to support with the coronavirus outbreak. The students have been getting extra training and more responsibility so they can assist more with the high demands.
